Lion dancers, pyrotechnics, to the introduction of the team were just some of the highlights of the successful Wests Tigers Season Launch at Star City last Friday night.
More than 300 people ranging from Wests Tigers corporate sponsors, 2010 Members, media, to the club’s coaching and administration staff attended the spectacular launch at the Astral Function Room overlooking Darling Harbour.
Channel Nine Today Show host Lisa Wilkinson did a superb job as the master of ceremonies, interviewing coach Tim Sheens and players Robbie Farah, Benji Marshall, Gareth Ellis and Chris Lawrence. Wilkinson was later presented with her own Wests Tigers ‘Wilkinson 9’ jersey.
The NRL squad were presented with their main and alternate jerseys on stage by their corporate sponsor.
Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys spoke about the pride in the club and how everyone associated with the team was excited about the expectations ahead in the ‘Year of the Tiger’.
Wests Tigers wish to thank the Members and guests for attending and for making the season launch a memorable evening.
