Balmain Junior League sits in the heartland of the Inner West of Sydney, running from Balmain to Strathfield and all the way up to Carlingford and Dundas in the North.
Balmain Junior League is the oldest Junior Rugby League competition in Australia, being formed in 1908 with six clubs. Over the last century the association has built up to 10 teams who play off in age groups from Under 6’s to Under 19’s.
Current Wests Tigers players who came through the Balmain Junior League ranks include Club captain Robbie Farah (Enfield Federals/Leichhardt Wanderers) and Aaron Woods (Leichhardt Juniors).
Junior League teams also get the opportunity to play on Wests Tigers game day at Leichhardt Oval or the Sydney Football Stadium or even get the chance to lead the Wests Tigers onto the ground.
