The Healthy lifestyles program is a way for the Wests Tigers send a lasting message to primary school students across the Inner West and South West Sydney about the importance of eating healthily and staying active.
Wests Tigers Active School program
Wests Tigers and Australian Rugby League Development (ARLD) officers visit schools weekly offering school based programs aimed at encouraging primary aged children to participate in sport and exercise.
Wests Tigers staff visits over 200 schools a year seeing around 65000 students throughout our catchment area in the Inner West and South Western Sydney.
These programs are managed and implemented by professional, qualified staff and have the full support of the NSW Department of Education and Training and the Australian Sports Commission.
As part of these visits, Wests Tigers Development staff delivers the NRL One Community’s Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well program. Wests Tigers players and staff deliver the important message of living a healthy, active lifestyle by conducting interactive assemblies, engaging the kids while having fun at the same time.
