Ticket donations
Community Corner
Wests Tigers ‘Roar for a Cause’ Community program donates tickets to a chosen charity to each home game throughout the year.
This gives kids and families who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to see a live game of Rugby League the opportunity to do so.
Charities that Wests Tigers have supported in 2010/2011 include:
• Starlight Foundation
• Campbelltown Family Support Services
• Youth off the Streets
• Oasis youth Support Network
• Canteen
• Boystown
To register your organisation for Community Corner tickets email Wests Tigers Community Department.
Members Give Back program
Wests Tigers members are encouraged to donate their seated tickets back to the Club if they are unable to attend a game one weekend.
These tickets are then donated to a local charity to be given to individuals or families in need.
The success of the program in 2010 saw one member buy a complete second membership to donate to the program, after hearing of his tickets being donated to a young Aboriginal family from Campbelltown Family Support Services.
Other packages have been purchased and donated to people who are doing it tough. One member purchased two ‘Out of Towners’ memberships which were then donated to people who had been affected by the natural disasters in Queensland in early 2011.

Women in League
Wests Tigers recognises the important role that women play in Rugby League. From the junior league club secretary to the humble mother who works in the canteen every Saturday, the NRL Women in League round celebrations gives the sport a chance to recognise and thank these women for their efforts.
Round 16 of the 2011 NRL season has been dedicated as the 'Women in League' round to recognise the enormous contribution of women in our game.
Wests Tigers celebrate Women in League round in 2011 by turning the main jersey pink and holding special events throughout the week for the ladies involved in the club.
Woman of the Year award
In 2011, Wests Tigers launched the Inaugural Woman of the Year award, to recognise a female that has worked tirelessly in our game.
The judging panel includes Wests Tigers staff and board members, junior league representatives and Wests Tigers Women in League ambassador, Belinda O’Neill.
The panel is looking for a Woman that has shown a spirit that is inspirational to those who know her and believes that with teamwork great things can be achieved.
The Inaugural Wests Tigers Woman of the Year was awarded to Alexandra Siemsen from the Dundas Shamrocks Junior Rugby League club. Alexandra has been volunteering with the junior club for 16 years and has a range of responsibilities ranging from registrar to canteen coordinator.
