Wests Tigers will play three trial matches as part of their preparation for the 2010 Telstra Premiership.

The first hit-out for the season is in Mackay on Friday night, February 12, against the North Queensland Cowboys.

A week later, Wests Tigers will tackle the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium in the annual Foundation Cup on Saturday, February 20.

Wests Tigers will finish their preparations with a trial match against Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday, February 27, as part of a double header.

I would love for the TIGERS to play a trial game @ Concord oval. Considering the team is based there, and it IS A STADIUM after-all, I think this would be a good idea. JB

Everyone seems to be getting excited over these trial games, but don't be surprised if they don't go as great as you think they might go. In past seasons, including in 05 when we won the comp, we were disappointing in the trial games and we are yet to win the foundation cup also. I personally don't think the tigers worry too much about the results and more on experimentation with combinations etc but by round 1 of the nrl season they will be up to the task and I have no doubt they will be up for a big 2010 season. Very excited about our prospects this season and beyond. Go the Mighty Tigers

Given Lote is apaprently slated for fullback, maybe they shouldn't risk Mullaney ? Let him do another year in Toyota Cup.

Can't wait to see the new look Tigers destroy the Sharks in Gosford, but i wonder who is likely to begin the year at fullback: Moltzen, Brown, Mullaney? It would be great to see the Moltzen/Marshall combination begin from day one in 2010, and i'd like to see Mitch Brown get his chance while Mullaney is still being blooded.

What happened to the trials in Brisbane. They were the best! Bring it back!

Trial games are a great way to measure combinations, and players ability. But trial games cause me worry. The Pat Richards ankle injury in 2004 comes to mind, and Ryan O'Hara in 2008. Although, even fit O'Hara made a great reserve grade prop! I wish it was two games instead of three. The season takes its own toll on players, and three trials, I just hope all players come through fit and ready to go for a huge 2010!

Being a Queenslander, I'm over the moon about the hit out in Mackay. Will be there to watch us belt the crap out of the cowboys for sure!
