Wests Tigers visit next Usain Bolt

A winger who can run 'the hundred' in well under ten seconds? Wests Tigers winger Marika Koroibete is fast, but he's not that fast.
How would you like to see the likes of Usain Bolt or Yohan Blake on the wing for Wests Tigers?
"Far-fetched," you say?
Well maybe not, according to Wests Tigers High Performance Manager Hayden Knowles.
Knowles took his Competitive Edge training camp from its base in Wyong, where he put the Wests Tigers through a gruelling pre-season camp, to Jamaica to work with the country's top sprinters.
Knowles liked what he saw after meeting the head coach of the Jamaican Olympic track and field, Maurice Wilson, and working with the 'next big thing' of Jamaican sprinting, Rasheed Dwyer (pictured).
"They are full of athletes," said Knowles of Jamaica.
"I have no doubt if people get behind them that one day we could have a Jamaican in the NRL."
Jamaica's fledgeling national side just missed out on a ticket to the 2013 Rugby League World Cup with the USA edging the group.
"I met their rugby league head coach and a couple of their players, and they loved Wests Tigers, they love Benji and they are passionate about making a World Cup one day.," said Knowles.
Knowles, who is currently on duty with the NRL All-Stars, will be back in Jamaica, and next time he wants to return with a star.
"My company will continue going to Jamaica, our coaches will keep learning 'The Jamaican Way' as far as sprinting goes, but next time I'll be inviting some rugby league people to come and have a look," said Knowles.
"I'll also be asking Benji for some kicking tees and 'Benji goal posts' to assist in their development.”
It may seem a pipedream to expect to see a Jamaican athlete lighting up the NRL, but it’s worth remembering that Marika Koroibete is only a few short years into his rugby league career.
It might not be long until Wests Tigers have their very own lightning ‘Bolt’ lighting up the wing in Sydney.
