Wests Tigers can provide the following injury update leading into the Club’s Round 5 match against Manly-Warringah at Leichhardt Oval this Sunday.

Following a tough hit out in Wellington against the Warriors, scans on Sauaso Sue’s ankle have confirmed a syndesmosis tear with the forward set to miss six to eight weeks.

Wests Tigers’ Physiotherapist Peter Moussa confirmed that both James Tedesco and Cory Paterson would undergo the NRL concussion procedures this week, after suffering head knocks against the New Zealand Warriors last weekend. Both are expected to play on Sunday but will be monitored throughout the week.

It’s a similar diagnosis for Liam Fulton and Tim Simona, who both missed the clash against the Warriors with concussion but are expected to take the field this weekend, provided they pass the appropriate concussion protocols.

Dene Halatau and Curtis Sironen are progressing well with long-term injuries, with a return date of Round 13 expected for the pair.

Prop forward Andrew Vela is expected to return from a knee injury in Round 10 after a lengthy stint on the sideline.

Utility Tim Moltzen’s return date from a knee injury will be clear following surgery today, with Club officials hopeful of a mid-season return to the field.
