Aaron Woods and Chris Lawrence are set to co-captain Wests Tigers in tonight’s clash against Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

It will be a first time leading the side out for both players and it comes after stand-in skipper Liam Fulton was ruled out with a back injury.

Woods has played 72 NRL matches for the Club since making his debut in 2011 and has this year taken on a leadership role within the squad at just 22 years of age.

In 2013, Woods became the fifth Wests Tigers player to represent New South Wales – playing two matches in the State of Origin series.

Lawrence has a wealth of experience at just 25-years-old, with 139 NRL games for the Wests Tigers since his debut in 2006.

The Eagle Vale St Andrews junior played six Tests for Australia in 2010 and 2011; one of five Wests Tigers to wear the green and gold.

Prop forward Jack Buchanan is set to play his first NRL game of the year tonight after being called into the squad to replace Fulton.

Buchanan played 23 matches last year, his debut season in the top grade.
