Wests Tigers have called on the Club’s Members and supporters to get behind the side as the team makes a push for a 2014 top eight finish.
CEO Grant Mayer today said that the Club is fully supportive of Head Coach Mick Potter, Captain Robbie Farah and the entire team heading into the final six games of the regular season.
Mayer also said that the players have not been involved in discussions regarding the future coaching structure at the Club.
“The playing group has not fronted the Board at any stage regarding Head Coach Mick Potter,” said Mayer. “The unnecessary focus on our captain Robbie Farah is damaging and disrespectful to a player who has given his heart and soul to the Wests Tigers and is a life member of this Club.
“Robbie is an integral part of Wests Tigers and we know he will be a part of this club for many years to come,” he said. “Robbie and the players have stated publicly that they support the coach and that their focus is to make the top 8 in 2014.
“From here on the Club’s main focus is making the finals this year, we call on our fans to get behind Mick, Robbie and the team at this important time of the season.”
Wests Tigers Members and fans will next have the chance to show their support for the players next Monday 4 August when the team takes on the Melbourne Storm at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
$5 from every adult tickets and $5 from every family pass sold to the game will go directly to Simon.
