Wests Tigers Under 20s five-eighth Te Maire Martin kicked the winning field goal for the Junior Kiwis in their 15-14 victory over the Junior Kangaroos on Saturday night.

Current Holden Cup centre Watson Heleta and 2015 recruit Chance Peni were amongst the scorers for the New Zealand side in a thrilling match at Mount Smart Stadium.

Martin kicked the field goal in the 79th minute to break the 14-14 deadlock, however Junior Kangaroos fullback Clint Gutherson had a chance to sway the match back in the visitors favour, but missed a 40-metre penalty goal attempt after the siren.

Other Wests Tigers players in action on the night included Lamar Liolevave, Manaia Cherrington (both New Zealand) and Matthew Lodge (Australia).
