James Tedesco. Mitchell Moses. Luke Brooks. Robbie Farah.

Four household names not only for Wests Tigers fans but for NRL fans as well.

Combined, they’ve been billed as part of the spine of the future for Wests Tigers, the driving force in whatever future success the Club will have.

All despite the fact they haven’t even taken the field together yet.

“It’s really good to be playing with those other three guys for the first time,” said Brooks as he returned to training this week at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

“Every team needs a good spine if they’re going to play well, and I think having those guys in the team is great. They’re some of the best players in the game in those positions and it’s good to be able to work on those combinations again.

“The biggest thing for us is just trying to get it all right for Round 1 — we’ve really only had a handful of training sessions together since Teddy came back.”

Even though they’re yet to play a single game together, it’s easy to see why there’s so much excitement around the spine of the Wests Tigers.

One is an international representative at the age of 22. Brooks himself is the youngest ever NRL All Stars player and the reigning Dally M Rookie of the Year.

One is the Club’s longest serving player and captain, a premiership-winning player who has tasted success at every level of representative football available.

And the other is Moses, the final of the quartet to make his first-grade debut.

Rugby league fans will hardly forget his performance three weeks into his NRL career where he had a hand in six tries to help Wests Tigers thrash the eventual grand-finalists Canterbury Bulldogs 46-18 at ANZ Stadium — seemingly offer a glimpse of exactly what would be on show when the quartet eventually made it on to the field together.

Three of the four are yet to even register 26 NRL games in their career, but despite that, the spine is one that Wests Tigers fans are rightly excited about.

It’s certainly exciting the veteran of the group, captain Robbie Farah.

“I don’t want to put too much pressure on those three young guys, but they’re some of the best young players I’ve seen running around,” he said.

“They’re all great guys on and off the field, and there’s no doubt that keeping those guys together is great for the future of this Club and its success.

“My job’s just trying to get them on the front foot and letting them play.

“I don’t think people realise how good these guys are going to be,” he said.

“I’ve got big wraps on all three of them, but I on Teddy [Tedesco] in particular.

He’s due for a bit of good luck, and I think as soon as he has an injury-free season, people are going to see that he’s one of the best young players in the competition.”

“They [all] just have so much confidence. They’re all so talkative and energetic and it’s something that rubs off on everyone else in the team.

General Admission Adult tickets for the match are available for $12 at the gate and via Ticketek (click here to purchase), while Wests Tigers Members gain free entry.
