Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona spoke to the media on Wednesday ahead of the Club's clash this Friday night against the high-flying Sydney Roosters.

Simona, who was helped from the field with concussion mid-way through the Club's defeat to the Brisbane Broncos last week, said he was definitely right to return this week against the Roosters, and that he was looking forward to delivering a big performance.

"Yeah, still a bit sore from that game — feels like we only played yesterday," Simona laughed. "But that's footy and that's what happens, I guess.

"I copped a knock in the head but I should be right for Friday."

Having lined up against several gun centres throughout 2015 such as Konrad Hurrell, Jamie Lyon and Dean Whare — all of which saw Simona handle himself more than adequately — the Samoan international said he was also looking forward to a personal challenge against in-form Roosters centre Blake Ferguson, a battle which could go a long way to deciding the result.

"He's [Ferguson] been killing it at the moment," Simona said.

"He's a big boy and he's going to be hard to stop, but I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Despite losing four games in a row heading into Friday night's clash against the competiton favourites, Simona enthused that there was still no shortage of positivity in the group.

"We've been keeping positive week. It's disappointing to lose four in a row, but we're keeping positive in everything that we're doing and hoping that things change," he said.
