The New Zealand Warriors will be without key forwards Jacob Lillyman and Ben Matulino for Sunday’s clash against Wests Tigers after the Queensland Origin representative suffered a broken cheekbone last weekend against the Cowboys.

Lillyman joins Matulino (suspended) on the sidelines for Sunday’s clash, as well as a number of other high-profile players including Shaun Johnson and Manu Vatuvei.

Chad Townsend also remains on the sideline having been hospitalised late last week, resulting in a second NRL appearance for Mason Lino in the halves alongside Tuimoala Lolohea — a combination that looked very dangerous last week against the Cowboys.

In better news for the visitors, Bodene Thompson returns to the starting lineup having made his return from injury last weekend, while winger Matthew Allwood and forward Sebastine Ikahihifo have both been recalled to the side from the Club’s NSW Cup team.
