Wests Tigers have ended a run of two straight defeats with an 50-16 victory over the New Zealand Warriors in their Round 25 clash at Campbelltown Stadium.

Coming into the contest outright last on the competition ladder, Jason Taylor’s side went behind early in the match but fought their way back well to lead 18-6 at the break, before extending their lead in the second half to eventually run out 34-point winners.

The result moves Wests Tigers off the bottom of the competition ladder heading into their final game of 2015 against the St. George-Illawarra Dragons next Saturday.

After losing their previous six competition games, the New Zealand Warriors were first to post points when Albert Vete crashed over next to the posts after nine minutes, before James Tedesco looked to have leveled the match with an effort of his own shortly after. However, after inspection from video referee Shayne Hayne, Sauaso Sue was ruled to have taken out Mason Lino in the build-up and the decision was overturned.
