With a thrilling 16-16 draw against the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday, Wests Tigers’ NYC Holden Cup side secured a finals spot with one round remaining.

Under a new Head Coach this year in Brett Kimmorley, Wests Tigers will head into the final round of the competition in sixth position on 27 points, but could finish anywhere from fifth to eighth depending on a number of results throughout the final week.

Wests Tigers have a strong history in the Holden Cup competition — making the Grand Final twice since it’s inception in 2008 — with a maiden premiership in 2012. Wests Tigers have made the NYC Holden Cup finals series every year as well since 2011, and will looking to be improve on last year’s semi-final defeat to the Brisbane Broncos.

Wests Tigers will take on the St. George-Illawarra Dragons (currently 14th) in their final regular season game of 2015 on Saturday, September 5 from 3:15pm at ANZ Stadium.
