It was a standout team performance from Wests Tigers on Saturday as they opened season 2016 with a 34-26 victory over the New Zealand Warriors.

Led by captain Aaron Woods up front, Wests Tigers handled the absence of several key players due to injury and suspension with aplomb — scoring five first-half tries to one before holding on against a fast-finishing Warriors side to emerge with an eight-point win.
