Wests Tigers are pleased to announce squads for the 2016 Brydens Lawyers Academy, with players selected from Balmain, Western Suburbs and Group 6.

The Brydens Lawyers Academy is a program aimed at developing players from junior representative sides within the Club’s geographical footprint.

The program has been a successful pathway in the past with players such as Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and David Nofoaluma coming through the Brydens Lawyers Academy system.

Split in to Under 17s and Under 19s squads for this year, the players and parents gathered last night at Concord Oval for an introduction session with the Brydens Lawyers Academy staff.

The program will run for four months – through until the end of August, with a number of games set to be played during that time.

The Under 17s squad consists of 27 players and will come up against the Combined Catholic Colleges side on May 29th, along with Academy sides from St George Illawarra, South Sydney and Canterbury throughout the program.

In the Under 19s, the 12-man squad named will call on players from the extended Holden Cup squad and will start their season next week against Cronulla on May 11.

Adam Doueihi, Moses Suli and Ryan Papenhuyzen (all Balmain Tigers), Hosea Leuea and Jake Scott (both Western Suburbs Magpies) have already been called up to the Wests Tigers Holden Cup squad from this year’s Brydens Lawyers Academy.

From that group, Suli and Papenhuyzen have already made their Holden Cup debuts in recent weeks.
