Wests Tigers centre Michael Chee Kam says he was pleased with his first NRL start in Saturday's 20-12 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Campbelltown Stadium.

Joining Wests Tigers from the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at the start of the 2016 season, Chee Kam played just his second NRL game for the Club on the weekend — chalking up an impressive 145 metres from 15 runs to help his side secure an eight-point victory.

And while the back-rower/centre still believes there's plenty for him to work on, there was no hiding his happiness in making his first NRL start since his debut game in 2014.

See what Michael had to say about the game and this week's match in the video above!

Be there to cheer the boys on when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs on June 10!
