Wests Tigers Holden Cup side made it seven games in a row unbeaten with a thrilling 32-28 victory over the Newcastle Knights in their Round 11 clash on Saturday.

Despite missing upwards of six key players due to injury or callups to the Club's NRL and Intrust Super Premiership sides, Coach Willie Peters' side raced out to a surprising 26-0 lead against the fifth-placed Newcastle Knights in the first half. They would be forced to do a mountain of defensive work in the second half as the Knights stormed back to lead the match 28-26 inside the final 10 minutes, before a try to forward Ray Stone with just two minutes to play would see the home side sneak home in the end with a four-point victory.

The result sees Wests Tigers sitting in outright second on the Holden Cup ladder, with eight wins from 11 matches this year. Peters' side have not been beaten since a Round 4 defeat to the Parramatta Eels, and will look to make it eight games in a row when they travel to Suncorp Stadium this Friday, May 27 to take on the ninth-placed Brisbane Broncos.

Be there to cheer the boys on when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs on June 10!
