Wests Tigers stand-in fullback Jordan Rankin says Brisbane are his side's biggest test so far this season, labeling the Broncos' consistency as their biggest strength.

Speaking on Monday after his side's tough 20-12 win over the Newcastle Knights last week, Rankin said that while Brisbane would be hard hit over the State of Origin period, the consistency of Wayne Bennett's men still make them the biggest challenge of the year.

"They're just consistent," he said. "That's why they're so good.

"They just play for the full 80 minutes regardless of who they're playing and what the scoreline is, and more times than not, they tend to win a result in the last 10 minutes of games.

"That's something we've got to make sure that we stay strong with this Friday.

"If we don't complete our sets and if we don't play toe-to-toe with them throughout the game, it's going to be a tough night at the office. We need to make sure that we stay switched on for the full 80 minutes otherwise the score could be anything."

Having never played a first-grade game at Suncorpo Stadium before, Rankin said he was looking forward to playing in front of what he expects to be a "hostile" QLD crowd.

"You can always guarantee that the Broncos supporters will come out in numbers," he said.

"There's always 35-40,000 there, no matter who they play or what night of the week they play, so we know it's going to be a pretty hostile crowd up there on the night.

"To be honest, I'm actually looking forward to it.

"I've never played a first-grade game at Suncorp Stadium before so I'm looking forward to getting up there and experiencing the atmosphere, and hopefully our Brisbane contingent of Wests Tigers fans can get out there as well and make some noise to support us too!"
