Wests Tigers captain Aaron Woods and hooker Robbie Farah have been named in the NSW Blues team for 2016 State of Origin Game I on Wednesday, June 1.

VB NSW Blues Coach Laurie Daley has named a 19-man squad for the opening game of the 2016 series as the Blues look to bounce back from last year's 2-1 series defeat.

Woods is expected to be named in the front row once again, while Farah retains his spot in the No. 9 jersey. The hooker is expected to be right to play in Game I after being cleared of any serious neck or head injuries sustained in the Club's Round 10 clash against the Bulldogs.

Daley has also named several potential debutants in the 19-man squad, with Adam Reynolds, Matt Moylan, Tyson Frizell and Dylan Walker and all included.

An additional development player, Bryce Cartwright (Penrith Panthers) was also named.

The 25-year-old Woods made his State of Origin debut in Game II, 2013 and has played every game for the Blues since. The front row forward scored his maiden Origin try in the Blues' Game II victory at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last year.

Since making his State of Origin debut in 2009, Farah has represented the Blues on 13 occasions, including two appearances as captain. Farah was named as NSW's Player of the Series in 2012, and has only missed one State of Origin match since the start of 2012.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate both Aaron and Robbie on their selection!

Be there to cheer the boys on when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs on June 10!
