Wests Tigers players Luke Brooks, Kevin Naiqama and Justin Hunt helped take part in the 2016 National Simultaneous Storytime across Sydney on Wednesday.
Brooks read to children at the Concord Library while Naiqama and Hunt spent time at the Ashfield Library, with the trio joining many others in the National Simultaneous Storytime by reading I Got This Hat written by Jol and Kate Temple at 11:00am on Wednesday.
The National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual campaign that aims to encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
Now in it's 16th year, the NSS helps promote the value of reading and literacy as well as storytime activities in public libraries and communities around the country.
In 2015 over 500,000 children at over 3,100 locations across Australia took part in National Simultaneous Storytime with that number expected to rise again this year.
