Wests Tigers vice-captain Chris Lawrence spoke to the media on Thursday morning after announcing his re-signing with the Club until the end of the 2019 season.

The 27-year-old Lawrence, who has played 175 games for the Club since his debut in 2006, said he was thrilled and proud to be able to remain a part of Wests Tigers.

"I'm very excited to be here for another three years," Lawrence said.

"Hopefully it means I can finish my career as a one-Club player.

"It was definitely a priority of mine to stay here at the Club and I'm excited I can do that.

"I want to be here when the Club builds itself back up to being a top team again.

"I've been here quite a while now and been here with some really good players. There's been good times and not-so-good times, and I want to be here when the talented young guys coming through really flourish and we can become a top footy side again."
