Wests Tigers had a special guest join training on Tuesday, nine-year-old Tyler.

Tyler attended training thanks to Feel The Magic, who are Wests Tigers’ charity partner for Saturday’s clash with the Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium.

Tyler, an avid Wests Tigers fan, attended training with his father Peter, meeting the team and spending time playing on the field with a number of players.

Hear what Tyler had to say about his day in the above video.

Tyler was joined by Feel The Magic’s Co-Founder and Managing Director James Thomas. James also spoke to Wests Tigers about the important work that Feel The Magic does below.

Feel The Magic’s mission is to create environments where children who have experienced grief can be inspired and empowered to succeed in spite of their loss.

Feel the Magic delivers two grief education and support programs — ‘Camp Magic’ and ‘Magic Journey’. ‘Magic Journey’ trips to Disneyland give families a break from the challenges of everyday life allowing them to reunite and create new and positive memories in a new family structure. ‘Camp Magic’ is a three-day camp for 7-17 year olds who have experienced the death of a parent/s, sibling or legal guardian.

As Wests Tigers’ charity partner for this week’s game, a number of children who have benefited from Feel The Magic’s work will run out with the team ahead of kick off. Volunteers will also be around ANZ Stadium taking donations in exchange for special wristbands. For more information on Feel The Magic visit http://www.feelthemagic.org.au/
