Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma spoke to the media on Wednesday ahead of this week's game against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

The winger, who has scored a try in each of his last three games, spoke about the morale after last week's win over the Penrith Panthers and how to keep that going this week.

"We're getting close to that top eight, so we're going well as a team," Nofoaluma said.

"Penrith was a big challenge for us, but we played hard and got over the lin. But now to back it up this week against the Bulldogs is going to be an even bigger challenge for us.

"Canterbury have a big team, and they're only missing two Origin players," he said.

"Last time we played them, they gave us a good touch-up, so it's going to be a big challenge this week for us without our Origin players. We're going to need to step up as a whole.

"When the Bulldogs are on, they really put pressure on teams.

"We've got to do some good work on their forwards to try and contain that."

Nofoaluma also spoke about the injury sustained by stand-in fullback Jordan Rankin, who rolled his ankle during the Club's field session earlier this morning.

"He just rolled his ankle at training this morning," he said.

"But he should be right for the weekend — just a precaution on the most part from the Club.

"We've got a few others that can play fullback if needed; I'm pretty sure Tim Simona or Justin Hunt could fill the role if needed, but Jordan should be right for the weekend."
