Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona says his team are up for the challenge of making the finals for the first time since 2011 as they prepare to face the Dragons this week.

With seven games to go in season 2016, and five wins most likely guaranteeing the side a place in the finals, Simona said the challenge ahead of the team was certainly a tough one, but one they definitely aren't backing down from as they look to finish the season strong.

"Every game is a must-win for us from here on in," Simona said today.

"We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, and we've got to focus first on the Dragons.

"It's our last seven weeks of the season and we haven't tasted finals footy in a long time.

"We're a team that, when we hold the ball and complete our sets, we're a hard team to beat. Consistency is our aim and hopefully we can start that out with a win on Sunday."
