Wests Tigers forward Ava Seumanufagai is adamant his side's season isn't over after Saturday's one-point defeat to the Gold Coast Titans at Campbelltown Stadium.

Wests Tigers will head into Friday's cruial clash against the seventh-placed Penrith Panthers just one point outside the top eight, but without in-form fullback James Tedesco, after the Camden Rams junior suffered a fractured jaw from a Ryan James high tackle.

Despite that, Seumanufagai said that any talk of the season being over was too extreme, given how close the side still sit to the top eight and their recent performances of late.

Don't miss our last home game of the year against the Raiders at Leichhardt Oval!

"We can only control what we can at the moment," Seumanufagai said.

"And what we can control is winning the next three games we play.

"Without Teddy it's tough, but there's boys that can do the job for us.

"The feeling around training has been really confident for the last month, and it still is. It's unfortunate we couldn't get the win but the performance was really there.

"I feel confident in all the boys — we just need to win these games.

"Everything else will take care of itself."
