Wests Tigers vice-captain Dene Halatau says he's determined to keep the Club's recent run of form going this Friday against the Penrith Panthers, despite a last start loss to the Gold Coast Titans that saw them miss the chance to move into eighth spot.

One of just a handful of Wests Tigers players to have experienced finals football, Halatau said the goal of a top eight finish still remained within sight for his team — refusing to let last Saturday's loss to the Titans be the final moment of success in his illustrious career.

"Every win counts from here on in; there's no doubt about that," Halatau said.

"It's tough to keep it going, but as long as we stay focused at training, then it's about mentally preparing well and about us talking and being sharp when we can be.

"It'd be awesome to finish my career in the finals.

"I haven't played a lot of semi-final football in my time, and it's a long time ago that I did play. But more so, it'd be great for the Club moving forward to have that success.

"With the young squad we have, that'd really help us build in the next few years."
