Wests Tigers Rugby League Club would like to send its condolences to the friends and family of former Balmain Tigers player Mitchell Wallace, who has passed away at the age of 94.
Playing his junior football for the Balmain Shamrocks, Wallace made his first grade debut against Newtown at Sydney Cricket Ground on July 7, 1945.
Wallace played on the wing for Balmain in the 1948 Grand Final and made 13 appearances for the Tigers between 1945 and 1948.
Wallace finished his first grade career with Parramatta, where he played 66 games in four seasons.
Until his passing, Wallace was the oldest living first grade player across all Clubs.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, 3rd September at Woronora Crematorium in the South Chapel at 11am.
