Competition - NYC Premiership Round - Round 25 Teams – NZ Warriors v West Tigers Date – 28th August 2016 Venue – Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland, NZ Photographer – Shane Wenzlick

Wests Tigers Holden Cup side will play a trial match this Saturday, February 18, against the Cronulla Sharks at Henson Park.

With last weekend’s trial match against Wentworthville cancelled due to the heat, this clash is shaping as an important hit-out for Head Coach Chris Hutchinson’s squad.

Hutchinson has named a strong 21-man team for the trial against the Sharks, including a number of second-year players such as Trent Pye, Rhys Sciglitano and Siaosi Nasilai.

On the other hand, a number of exciting new squad members will push their claims for a spot in the side for Round 1 – with Connelly Lemuelu named to start after withdrawing from last week’s NRL trial due to injury.

It’s a two game program on Saturday, with Holden Cup kicking off at 4pm, followed by the Intrust Super Premiership fixture between Wests Tigers and Newtown at 6pm.
