Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership side produced a stirring comeback to beat the previously undefeated North Sydney Bears on Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 16-6 midway through the second half, tries to Justin Hunt (2) and Joel Edwards gave David Heath's side a shock 18-16 win — their first win of the Intrust Super Premiership year.

In Ron Massey, Western Suburbs went down 32-6 to Wentworthville Magpies at Kirkham Oval, while Sydney Shield also suffered a tight 32-22 defeat to Wentworthville on the day.

Western Suburbs did bounce back with a high-scoring 42-30 victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs in SG Ball, while Balmain Tigers saw a 18-6 half-time lead slip away against the Canberra Raiders, going down 22-18 at Raiders Club Belconnen.

In Harold Matthews, Western Suburbs went down 36-18 to the Rabbitohs, while Balmain suffered a disappointing 48-24 defeat to Canberra after only trailing 28-24 at half-time.

Wests Tigers Women's Tarsha Gale Nines team were also unable to defeat the Green Machine at Raiders Club Belconnen, going down 30-12 in their penultimate game of the season.

Wests Tigers NRL and Holden Cup sides both suffered losses against the Dragons on Sunday.
