In-form Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma says spirits are high in the team after an upset win over the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville last week.

Playing under new Head Coach Ivan Cleary for the first time, Nofoaluma said the addition of Cleary had played a big role in keeping the team's mood strong throughout the week.

“Obviously we really that win there in Townsville," he said.

"They’re really hard to play up there and were glad we got the win.

“Our new Coach Ivan is doing a really great job with bringing belief into our team and hopefully we can continue that throughout the season.”

One of the most in-form players in the competition through seven rounds, Nofoaluma moved on to say that he was focused wholly on the club and performing to the best of his ability.

“Obviously my job is to play the best footy for the club," he said.

"I play for the Wests Tigers now and I put everything into this team.”

“I’m wanting to be a better player. I’m really loving the game at the moment and I’m enjoying every moment. It’s just about putting in all that extra effort.”

“I’m here to put my best performance in for the team, that’s my thinking, I like to put every effort in.”

“I block everything else out and just focus on myself.”
