Wests Tigers forward Elijah Taylor says the team are feeling good heading into next Saturday's blockbuster clash against the Cronulla Sharks at Leichhardt Oval.

Having won two of the last three games since the arrival of Coach Ivan Cleary, Taylor said being able to close out Sunday's tight win over the Bullodgs has given the team plenty of momentum.

"It's definitely a confidence-booster for us against a team like the Bulldogs," he said.

"They've got some big boys and a big pack — our history against them hasn't been too great, but with all the off-field dramas and us to put a gutsy effort in really builds some confidence.

"Ivan's come in and changed a few things and it's showing in our results.

"Training has really picked up, but the philosophies are quite simple.

"He knows how to get everyone playing as a team, which is great."
