Wests Tigers prop Ava Seumanufagai is determined to finish the year with a run of strong performances with just eight weeks remaining in the regular season.

A tireless worker every week, Seumanufagai said that the bye in Round 18 provided a good break for the team — giving them every motivation now to finish the season in style.

“(It was) a really good break," Seumanufagai said. "We had six days off so the boys had some time to freshen up prepare mentally and have a break.

“It’s been a long year [but] we want to come home strong.

“I feel like we had a lot of close games lately — games that could have gone either way — so to get that win over the Knights really helped to boost morale of the boys.

“We see the improvements needed, though. There were areas around the defence that we needed to patch up and we've been keeping an eye on that during the week.

This week the team takes on the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Lottoland on Sunday afternoon, with the prop confident the clash will be an enthralling encounter for all involved.

“It will be a really tough game; it’s do or die for us we just really need to win and need to do whatever it takes to do that," he said.

“If the boys just do their own job, run hard, tackle hard, we’ll let the halves do the rest.”
