Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership side have gone down 46-10 to the Wentworthville Magpies in disappointing fashion on Sunday afternoon at Ringrose Park.

With a number of injuries in the Club's first-grade side stretching thin the depth of the reserve-grade outfit, David Heath's side were simply no match for the Magpies at home, with Nathan Cayless' men running in nine tries to two to move within one point of the top four.

Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership side will have the bye next week in Round 21, before returning to action on August 5 when they take on the North Sydney Bears at Leichhardt Oval.

It was a tough day for Wests Tigers who found themselves trailing 20-0 midway through the first half after tries to George Jennings, Cody Nelson, Magnus Stromquist and Dane Aukafolau, before showing an improved defensive resolve to hold Wentworthville out untill the break.

However, it was a case of more of the same in the second half for the home side as John Folau, Jeff Robson, Honeti Tuha and Scott Schulte all crossed within 10 minutes of each other — giving the Magpies a commanding 42-0 lead with 20 minutes still left to play.

The one positive for Wests Tigers was the return of Jeremy Marshall-King from injury, who crossed in the 63rd and 69th minute to add some respectability to the scoreboard.

A late try to Nathan Davis ensured Wentworthville finished with the final points, with the centre's missed conversion giving the home side with a deserved 46-10 victory in the end.
