Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary spoke to the media this morning and gave his final thoughts on Sunday's clash against the Penrith Panthers at Pepper Stadium.

Coming up against his son Nathan, Cleary admitted it'll be a weird experience on Sunday, but one that he's looking forward to with an important two points on the line for both teams.

"We've had a bit of fun with it this week," he said.

"We've both got a job to do so that's all we'll focus on.

"Tomorrow will be Game Day — we've never done it before, but we'll be respecting each other's professionalism and just try to enjoy what's a really special day for us."

After a strong last start win over the Gold Coast Titans, Cleary also highlighted the motivation for the team throughout the rest of the year — building on what was done the week before.

"Ruining other teams' chances isn't necessarily the goal for us at this point," he said.

"It's more about ourselves.

"We just want to be competitive and win in whatever we do — especially for our fans.

"We're getting a bit of form on the board and starting to play a bit better in the last month or so. We just want to win games, whoever it's against, and we'll start that again tomorrow."
