Wests Tigers Holden Cup side have gone down 60-18 to an in-form Sydney Roosters side in windy conditions this afternoon at Allianz Stadium for their Round 24 clash.

Trailing 26-6 at the break, Wests Tigers battled bravely throughout the second half, but simply had no answers for the Roosters' attack as they ran in 11 tries to the visitors' three.

After a tight start, an early try to Jesse Marschke gave the Roosters a 6-0 lead, before Josh Curran crashed over after 19 minutes to extend the hosts' lead to 10-0.

A charging run from Ben Seufale after 26 minutes cut the margin to 10-6 following James Tautaiolefua's conversion, but the Roosters didn't take long to restore their lead — crossing through Nicholas O'Meley and Lachlan Lam to push their advantage to 22-6.

Marschke would grab his second try right on the stroke of half-time, with Sean O'Sullivan slotting the extras from out wide to give the Roosters a 28-6 lead at the break.

Needing to start strong in the second half, Wests Tigers would fall further behind as the Roosters' attack clicked in to gear, with Lyndon Hills, Marschke and Adam Pompey crossing within the space of 10 minutes to give the Roosters a 40-point lead after 55 minutes.

Chris Hutchison's side would add some respectability to the scoreboard with tries to Alex Seyfarth and Max Burey from close range cutting the score to 44-18.

However, as they had done all day, the Roosters would continue to pile on the points, with Lam and Hills both grabbing their second tries of the day to take the lead to 54-18.

A strong take from Bernard Lewis would extend the scoreline to 60-18 inside the final few minutes, ensuring a big win for the young Roosters in front of their home fans.
