Fiji and Tonga have booked their spots in semifinals of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup with respective two-point victories over Lebanon and New Zealand on Saturday.
Fiji will face Australia in the semifinals while Tonga will take on the winner of Sunday's match between England and Papua New Guinea, which will be played at AAMI Park, Melbourne.
Less than a week after suffering their first ever defeat to a tier-two nation, New Zealand were sensationally bundled out of the tournament by a resilient Fiji, who took the match 4-2.
In just the second ever try-less match at the World Cup, Fiji led 2-0 at the break before Taane Milne's penalty goal 15 minutes from full-time restored their lead for a famous win.
Tonga, meanwhile, went through after surviving a scare against a brave Lebanon side, who came back from a double-digit deficit on two occasions before eventually going down 24-22.
Tuimoala Lolohea opened the scoring for Tonga inside the opening five minutes, while Alex Twal again led from the front for the Cedars — making over 40 tackles and 140 metres.
