Andrew Webster

Andrew Webster returns to Wests Tigers in 2017 after spending the last two seasons as an Assistant Coach to Andrew McFadden at the New Zealand Warriors.

Webster worked for the Club as NYC Holden Cup Coach in 2014 — taking them to the second week of the finals— and was previously Head Coach of junior grades in Balmain.

A former rugby league and union player, Webster began coaching Connecticut in the American National Rugby League in 2005, before taking on an assistant role at Hull KR from 2006 to 2011 — helping take the Robins from a League One side to Super League.

He returned to Australia in 2012 as Head Coach of Balmain SG’s Ball (U/18) side — guiding a team featuring current Wests Tigers players Mitchell Moses, Luke Brooks and Nathan Milone to an undefeated minor premiership and eventual Grand Final win.

After coaching Parramatta’s NYC side in 2013, Webster had his first taste as an NRL Assistant Coach with New Zealand from 2015, and after two seasons with the Warriors, will return to Wests Tigers with added experience and knowledge.

Beginning the season as an Assistant, Webster was made Interim Head Coach in Round 4, before returning to his Assistant role in Round 6 with the appointment of Ivan Cleary.
