Keep an Eye on: David Nofoaluma
If you're looking for a point-of-difference in your Fantasy matchups over this long weekend, Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma might just be the way to go.
A staple of many Fantasy sides in 2017, Nofoaluma's ownership plummeted before Round 1 with Corey Thompson preferred on the wing by Coach Ivan Cleary. Playing in the Intrust Super Premiership, the Campbelltown junior scored two tries en route to a big win, and soon found himself back in the lineup the following week with Tuimoala Lolohea picking up a knee injury — pushing Thompson back to fullback.
Up against a strong Storm outfit, Nofoaluma was one of his side's best — running the ball 21 times for 176 metres while also adding 11 tackle breaks and five offloads. His numbers were equally as strong last week against the Broncos with 150 metres and four tackle breaks, but three errors kept his Fantasy score low.
As such, the winger heads in to the clash with a breakeven of 50, a number he can certainly crack purely in base stats alone. The biggest question mark around Nofoaluma is job security, and it'll be interesting to see how that plays out with Tuimoala Lolohea back available for selection once again this week.
Should Benji Marshall fail in his bid to overcome an ankle injury, Lolohea is the likely replacement to move to five-eighth, which will keep Nofoaluma in the side for at least another week.
And given his strong form in attack and defence so far, you'd have to think he's a good chance of keeping that spot going forward — particularly if Wests Tigers keep winning games.
Like anything, there's a risk attached to this selection and Nofoaluma will set you back a hefty $682,000.
However, with his rich scoring pedigree and an ownership that incredibly sits below 1 percent, Nofoaluma might just be the man to give you that point of difference and edge in your Fantasy matchups this week.
