Balmain Tigers have named their teams for the opening round of the NSW Junior Rugby League representative matches.

The Tigers travel to OKI Stadium, Kogarah, to tackle St George Dragons. The Harold Matthews (U16s) match kicks off at 9.30am with SG Ball (U18s) at 11am.

Balmain will be looking to defend its title in the SG Ball premiership this season after capturing the trophy for the first time in 30 years last season. The Tigers will be coached for the first time by former NRL player Matthew Head.

Players to watch out for include five-eighth Ryan Gardner and lock Matthew Woods, who trained with the Wests Tigers NYC squad over summer.

Balmain finished third last season in the Harold Matthews and will again be coached by Todd McKeown. Prop Pifeleti Pifeleti, second-rower TJ Uele and Spike Teio are some of the exciting talent to look out for.
