Wests Tigers are currently hiring for the below positions:

Head of Pathways

As the Wests Tigers Head of Pathways, reporting to the General Manager you’ll be responsible for the organisation, planning and delivery of an elite football program inclusive of all operational, welfare, educational, administrative and logistical support within the Pathways program. 

What will you do in this role:

  • Manage all aspects of the pathways football program, maintaining a strong and successful club culture and adherence to the club vision and values
  • Assume management responsibility for the day to day running and overall effectiveness of the Wests Tigers pathways program
  • Work alongside Talent Identification team to ensure effective talent identification networks and processes are in place
  • Create mentoring and development programs designed to improve football and life skills of staff, elite and elite junior players
  • Oversee and participate in the contracting of all players within Pathways and NSWRL salary cap
  • Design and deliver specialist coaching to our key elite junior players and academy squad with Elite Player Development Manager
  • With the Elite Player Development Manager, oversee the delivery of all scholarship camps, Academy and other key football activities
  • Ensure club compliance with all NSWRL guidelines
  • Manage the Pathways Football Department budget
  • Responsible for maintaining best practice for club training facilities and club equipment
  • Oversee coach education and development areas across our Regions
  • Ensure good working relationships with Key Stakeholders including families, schools and player agents.

To be eligible you should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in elite sport
  • A detailed understanding of the salary cap and NRL Guidelines
  • A high level of competence in relation to budgetary management and control
  • Exceptional administrative and organisational skills
  • Solid facility/logistical/operational management experience in a service sector or football environment
  • Ability to work with players, families, coaches and senior management staff

Junior Rugby League Coaching and Development Manager

As the Wests Tigers Junior Rugby League Coaching and Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of development practices within our JRL Clubs within our Regions. This role involves coach education, talent identification and developmental planning/coaching within our Junior Rugby League clubs to allow the support from the Wests Tigers to our JRL Regions. 

What will you do in this role:

  • Manage the delivery of coaching principals throughout our JRL clubs at U13-U19 Age groups
  • Coordinate Coach education sessions for various coaching abilities within our JRL Regions
  • Work alongside the Talent Identification team to ensure effective talent identification networks and processes are in place throughout our Junior Rugby League clubs
  • Design and deliver specialist coaching to our key elite junior players and academy squad with Elite Player Development Manager
  • Assist in the delivery of all scholarship camps, Academy and other key football activities when required
  • Responsible for maintaining best practice for club training facilities and club equipment
  • Assist in the delivery of the coaching and player development within the Junior Rep programs
  • Assist in improving the standard of professionalism across our Junior Rugby League Regions
  • Represent the Wests Tigers at Junior Rugby League board meeting if required

To be eligible you should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar type of role
  • Knowledge and Experience in Rugby League
  • An understanding of the stages of development
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to provide guidance and feedback to aspiring junior coaches
  • Ability to work with players, families, coaches and senior management staff

Sales Executive (6 month contract)

In this role your main task will be to identify and ‘hunt” businesses that will aid to secure the financial future of the Wests Tigers Foundation.

This role is a 6-month contract role initially.

What will you do in this role:

  • Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence — primarily the role is tasked with selling Centre of Excellence assets
  • Selling into existing Hero coterie group — currently sitting at 60%, the chosen candidate will be tasked filling the remaining places within the coterie
  • Creating and selling new coterie group – defining what the new annual coterie group will look like and potential benefits. Ideally filling the coterie to 50% capacity (based on a minimum of 50 places)
  • Foundation Gala dinner — selling tickets/tables for the 2021 Wests Tigers Foundation Gala Dinner
  • Seeking auction items — chasing existing and new donors to donate auction items to assist with reoccurring revenue throughout the season
  • Assist with donor servicing – where require attend meetings and events to assist with servicing existing donors

To be eligible you should have:

  • Competency across Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Effective written and verbal communication. Presentation experience essential
    Proven track record of sales experience, success and building a new business pipeline from scratch
  • Strong initiative and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • A team first mentality and the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions
