Mick Potter is set to give rookie prop Ava Seumanufagai his NRL debut this Friday night when the Wests Tigers take on the Parramatta Eels at Leichhardt Oval.

In this exclusive for Wests Tigers Members, Potter said he was impressed by the 21-year-olds form in the pre-season and is confident he will fill the gap left by Keith Galloway.

We've got young Ava coming into the void. He'll give a good account of himself. Potter said.

He's been enthusiastic and he's been looking forward to the opportunity. He won't miss it.

Galloway will undergo surgery on his torn pectoral and is expected to miss between three and fourth months.

Last weeks 28-18 victory over the Panthers at Campbelltown was Potter's first win in the NRL, but the two-time Super League Coach of the year said his team still has plenty of work to do.

Last week against Penrith was certainly a better performance. We've got a lot of work to do; we don't think we've made it yet. Potter said.

Defensively we've got some issues and we've addressed that this week. We're looking forward to trying to put those into practice against Parramatta.

They've got their own dangers.

This week comes with a new group of challenges. The players are ready for it and we're looking forward to playing at Leichhardt Oval.

The full team will be available on the website later Tuesday afternoon.
