Nominations are now open for the Wests Tigers Woman of the Year Award.


It is available to all Balmain/Western Suburbs Junior League volunteers, Club Members and Wests Tigers players and staff.


The Club is seeking nominations from the Junior League Community, Players and/or registered Members of the Club to nominate a significant female who has made a special contribution to a players football career or Rugby League at a grassroots level.


The nomination is to include a written transcript, detailing in 250 words or less the special contribution made by the significant female to the players football career.


It is an opportunity to honour the efforts of these significant females by nominating them for this special award.


The award will be presented at the Wests Tigers V Cowboys game at Leichhardt Oval on Friday, 24th May.


The award criteria will consider a significant female who has:

Been involved in the players' football career from the beginning and still takes an active role;

Shows commitment and loyalty to the players career and the club;

Has met the challenges, obstacles or adversity placed before her and rises above them;

Shows a passion for grassroots football;

Shows a spirit that is inspirational to those who know her and has belief that with teamwork great things can be achieved.


Please write in 250 words or less, why your Significant Female should be our 2013 Wests Tigers Woman of the Year.
