The NRL has today postponed the Holden Cup match between Wests Tigers and Melbourne Storm and the VB NSW Cup match between Wests Tigers and Newcastle.


The scheduling changes follow an inspection of Leichhardt Oval this morning and a commitment to providing the best possible playing surface for tonights Telstra Premiership match between Wests Tigers and Melbourne.


The Telstra Premiership match between Wests Tigers and Melbourne Storm will proceed as scheduled at 5.30pm. Gates open at 4.30pm.


A date and time for the postponed matches is still to be determined.


NSWRL Chief Executive, Mr David Trodden, and NRL General Manager of Football Operations, Mr Nathan McGuirk, today thanked the clubs and broadcasters for their support in facilitating the changes.
