Lote Tuqiri will make a long awaited return to the field for Wests Tigers this weekend.
Tuqiri has been named in the Wests Tigers NSW Cup team to play competition leaders Cronulla Sharks at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday. Coach Paul Fletcher has named Tuqiri at centre.
It will be Tuqiris first game this season for Wests Tigers since suffering a broken arm in the loss to the Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium in July last year.
Tuqiri will not be the only player making his return to the team from injury with forward Matt Bell declared fit to play after overcoming a hand injury suffered in the round six loss to St George-Illawarra in April. Bell has been named at lock.
Wests Tigers blew another chance of moving into the vital top four with a loss to Newtown Jets at Henson Park last Saturday. The Jets moved into fourth spot following the loss by Windsor.
The sixth placed Wests Tigers face a real challenge against the competition leading Sharks.
