Wests Tigers Coach Mick Potter today said told the pre-match press conference that heavy media scrutiny was distracting for he and his team.

Potter addressed questions about his communication skills, saying his players supported his style and that he regularly communicates effectively with every person in the large Wests Tigers organisation from footballers to administration staff.

The two-time Super League Coach of the Year was impressed with his charge's performance against the Dragons, particularly the increased offloading game.

Potter, who coached the Burgess twins at Bradford, said South Sydney's enormous forward pack would pose a greater challenge on Friday night.
