Wests Tigers stars were out and about last week at Oran Park Anglican School helping grow the game of Rugby League in the area.
Oran Park Anglican is a new school that opened midway through last year and currently has around 80 students from Kindergarten through to Grade 6.
David Nofoaluma, Keith Galloway, Bodene Thompson, Mitchell Moses and Taqele Naiyaravoro were on hand to present the school with their new sporting equipment.
NRL Game Development Officer, Scott Borg expressed how a presence in growth areas such as Oran Park play a vital role in the future of the game.
With a new school in a growing area it is very important that we expose the kids to Rugby League and give them a great experience, Borg said.
Hopefully with the experience they had with the Wests Tigers and the NRL we can have a few students from the school register for our newly formed Group 6 JRL club the Oran Park Chargers.
