Wests Tigers Head Coach Mick Potter has announced his team to take on Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Friday night in their Round 9 encounter.

Second-rower Cory Paterson returns for the team for the first time since suffering a head injury against the New Zealand Warriors in Round 4 off, while Blake Austin has been named in the halves following an injury to Braith Anasta in their Round 8 loss.

“It’ll be a good opportunity for Blake [Austin] to jump in at five-eighth,” said Potter.

“He’s been filling it at No. 9 for the last couple of weeks.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing Blake play. He’s very enthusiastic and he’s shown a lot of promise over the years so I’m looking forward to it.”

Potter said that he wanted to see a renewed effort from his side against the Roosters, but was confident that the underdogs would be prepared to deliver another physical performance in front of what will likely be a good crowd at Allianz Stadium.

“All the boys are ready for a big game,” he said.

“They know how hard it will be against the defending premiers."
