Campbelltown Sports Stadium is the place to be this Saturday night as the Wests Tigers take on the Brisbane Broncos in what is set be an action-packed fixture. 

Below are 15 reasons why you can't miss this Round 11 clash which will celebrate the Club's 15th season.

15 – A celebration of 15 years

This Saturday’s match is a celebration of the very first Wests Tigers match against Brisbane at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on February 6, 2000. The game finished as a 24-all draw and kicked off the inaugural season for the joint venture. As mentioned below, there are a number of activities this Saturday that will celebrate the milestone.

14 – Pick up your official team poster!

This Saturday will be the first chance for Wests Tigers Members and fans to grab the official 2014 team poster! Featuring the entire extended squad from this season, the glossy A3 poster is free of charge and a must for any avid supporter.

13 – Support our NSW Cup side

Wests Tigers NSW Cup will look to make it back-to-back wins this Saturday as they take on Newcastle. Recording an impressive 30-28 victory last weekend over a Cronulla side oozing with NRL experience, the Paul Fletcher coached side currently sits in fifth place on the ladder. Keep an eye out for Curtis Sironen, who makes his return from a pre-season foot injury, and NYC star Mitchell Moses, who will play his first NSW Cup match. Kick-off is at 1:10pm.

12 – Cheer on the Club’s future stars

Watch the next talented bunch of Wests Tigers youngsters this Saturday as the Club’s NYC side look to make it three wins in a row against Brisbane. It won’t be an easy feat though, facing a Broncos side sitting in third place. Players to watch in the Wests Tigers outfit include Manaia Cherrington, Nathan Milone, Dallas Graham and Te Maire Martin. Kick-off is 5:15pm.

11 – Replay of Round 1, 2000

Re-live that very first match back in 2000 with a full replay to be shown on the big screen this Saturday. Kick back and watch a classic match at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, which will play in the gap between NSW Cup and Holden Cup. The inaugural Wests Tigers side boasted names like Jarrod McCracken, John Skandalis, Joel Caine and Kevin McGuiness; while the Broncos star-studded line-up included Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuqiri, Darren Lockyer and Gorden Tallis.

10 - $10 tickets

Three games of Rugby League and more for just $10! That’s what’s on offer this Saturday at Campbelltown Sports Stadium and what better reason is there for Wests Tigers fans to come along and support their team. 9 – Free Ice cream!

Yes that’s right – FREE ICE CREAM. Kids will be able to grab a free soft serve at the ground this Saturday between 6pm-7pm.

8 – Former player guard of honour

Players from the inaugural Wests Tigers team will be present at the ground this Saturday and will form a guard of honour as the NRL team run out. Confirmed guests include Kevin McGuiness, Mark O’Neill, Shane Walker, Darren Senter, Adam Nable, Tyran Smith, John Skandalis and John Hopoate who will be formally introduced at half time.

7 – 15 moments video package

Wests Tigers Members and fans have voted for the top 15 moments of the past 15 years and the Club has complied a video package that will be shown at this Saturday’s match. Make sure you are watching the big screen as we count down the most exciting moments in the Club’s history.

6 – Family Fun Zone

Not only will kids be able to get free ice cream this Saturday but they will have access (FOR FREE) to a host of activities in the Family Fun Zone at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Activities include Pony Rides, a Jumbo Tiger bouncing castle, balloon artists and face painters.

Wests Tigers will also be offering an on field Junior Clinic for Western Suburbs and Group Six Junior League players!

5 – Live Band and DJ

Six-piece band ‘Burgess Burgess’ are set to provide the tunes at half time of the NRL fixture and also post-match during ‘Take to the Turf’. ‘Mac DJs’ will be on the decks at the Pembroke Road entrance and C91.3FM will be set up at the Lumeah Road entry.

4 – Fireworks!

Who doesn’t like a good fireworks show? Wests Tigers are set to light up the Campbelltown sky this Saturday night in a half time show not to be missed!

3 – Post-match function

Ticket holders to Saturday’s game are invited to a free post-match function at Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club with a chance to meet some of your favourite players from the NRL squad.  The function gets underway at approximately 10pm.

2 – ‘Take to the Turf’

In what is a first at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Wests Tigers Members and fans will have the opportunity to ‘take to the turf’ after the NRL fixture. As mentioned above, six-piece band ‘Burgess Burgess’ will be performing on the field with fans being able to access the playing arena following instructions from the ground announcer.

1 – Support your Club

The NRL side will be determined to notch up a win leading into next weekend’s bye and will need the support of loyal Members and fans cheering them on. With the side currently sitting in sixth place, this weekend’s match is an important one for Mick Potter’s side that will be without NSW Origin representatives Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods. Show your support for the Wests Tigers and don’t miss this momentous occasion for the Club.
